I couldn't agree more with Aoife's comment describing this round-up - I feel this way about your newsletter in general. I also choose a word/intention every year. My word of the year in 2023 was 'belonging'. And more specifically around the theme of belonging to myself, which was inspired by a podcast episode by Brene Brown. I am going to be spending some time this month to reflect back on my year and come up with my word for 2024.

Also, thank you for sharing my Clerestory article! I am beyond honoured that you chose to share it in your newsletter. It means so much to me.

I've saved your article about skiing to read when I have more time. When I glanced at it, I was so compelled by how much I felt like I could relate to what you wrote.

I hope you had a lovely holiday season Lauren! Looking forward to more newsletters in 2024 :)

Thank you so much for sharing Naomi! I always love your comments, they mean so much.

Mmm belonging is a good word - and I like the intention you put behind it too. Looking forward to hearing what word 2024 offers you. I have chosen "ease".

Wishing you a prosperous new year! xx

Thank you again for doing such a lovely giveaway, and for sending it all the way over to the UK for me. I also love doing a word for the year. 2023's was 'deepen'. 2024 is going to be 'vitality'. Have a great end to the year, and all the best for the new one coming!

Awww love this! Vitality is such a great and inspiring word. 🤍🤍 I’ve chosen ‘ease’ for 2024.

This round-up felt like hygge, Lauren, which is to say that it felt a bolt of connection, inspiration, and grounding all at once. I felt warmer reading it! I especially loved the bit where you wrote, “It’s such a treat for me to send gifts in the mail, I’m a pen-pal at heart.” Thank you for sharing this sincere reflection.

Have a beautiful end to your year and congratulations on the new place! It feels auspicious both to be moving at this time *and* to have made the call to do it so intentionally. Stay cosy and may your festive season be merry, bright, and full of elation xx

That is so kind, thank you Aoife! Sending you warm winter wishes and a great big hug! I will be keeping an eye out for Boundless Bypass to premiere in 2024. So wonderful to connect with you and looking forward to continuing in the new year. xx

Thanks so much, Lauren. You are so kind and I’m so grateful to have connected with you through YGL this year. Re: writing, we’ve just moved country into our first permanent house in two years so I’m excited to have a desk again. Hoping you’re settled quickly and able to enjoy being in the new! xx

As always, love the edit💖💖I kinda love the Pantone color. I find it very soothing and also kind of bold which is an interesting combo. I don’t have a capital “H” horror moving stories but it’s usually exhausting and ultimately worth it. To shake up the energy, to reimagine my life in a new space and work together with Jon. It really feels like a clearing each time. Wishing you the smoothest of transitions. Thinking about taking Arch to Wonka over his break. Thoughts?

Thank you! I also kind of love the Peach Fuzz colour :) You're so right, shaking up the energy is usually worth it after the whole exhaustion part, lol. I vote yes for Wonka.🍫🍫 It's family friendly for sure, a feel-good and funny musical. It is decently long though - 2 hours. So that might play a factor? Archie must be getting so excited, only 3 more sleeps!
