I took two years of sewing in high school, and even sewed my own prom dresses and prom dresses for classmates. I haven’t found the time I wish I had for more projects in this chapter of life but I pick it up from time to time and have started teaching my 7yo to sew and he loves making his own little creations. I can confirm it is a lovely hobby to pick up! The learning curve isn’t too steep, you can find a fairly inexpensive sewing machine, and free online sewing tutorials that start pretty simply And I think you’re right, it’s something you would absolutely love.

I have to say I learned to sew earlier this year and while agree it is daunting to start it is so rewarding!! I just finished my first ever dress. I bought nice fabric as a birthday present to myself so the dress feels extra special when I wear it knowing I made it. I recommend checking out Sydney Graham on youtube she has a free beginner sewing course which was very helpful!

The skill I’d love to have back is speaking fluent French. I did once upon a time but without constant practice it’s gone away. Going to have to do a mid-year mood/vision board - love yours! 💕
Try the News in Slow French podcast! There are beginner, intermediate and advanced versions and it's really helped me get back into the rhythm of the language.

sewing is has been my hobby since I was a child! It’s worth the learning curve but be prepared to have a corner full of supplies, unnecessary materials (just in case!) and machines. once you start you won’t want to stop 💖
