I really enjoyed the Psyche article about how some fictional characters and stories stick in our memory because we empathize with them and it contributes to our own sense of self. Really puts words to why I felt so seen by characters like Anne of Green Gables and Laura Ingalls Wilder from Little House on the Prairie.
