We spent a day or two in Gothenburg as that’s were our ferry from Germany docked. We drove into the mountains and it was lovely. I'd love to go back one day!
She wasn't just born in Finland, she was Finnish. She wrote in Swedish as that was her first language, being a swedish-speaking Finn. That doesn't make her or her work Swedish.

I was trying to convey that I selected a book written and translated from the Swedish language to read while I was in Sweden. I can see how this might come across as an uneducated statement since the author was Finnish and I didn't specifically mention that in my article. Hi Res, that’s correct! She was born in Finland but her mother tongue was Swedish. So she originally wrote this novel (Fair Play) in Swedish :)
